A collection of digitized deeds from the early to late 19th century containing property sale information. Any time a piece of land was sold in Augusta County, a deed of sale is required to be registered with the court. This collection of deeds provides researchers with insight into the economic lives of Augusta County citizens during the era preceding the Civil War. As the courthouse is able to digitize more deeds, this collection will continue to be updated.
