Description

Deed Book 64 1842-1843 contains property deeds dating back to the mid-19th century. Any time a piece of land was transferred between two parties in Augusta County, a deed of sale was required to be registered with the court. Deed Book 64 originated in Augusta County Circuit Court. The digital preservation of this document is possible through grant funding from the 2024 Library of Virginia Circuit Court Records Preservation program in coordination with Kofile Technologies. The original document is on display at Augusta County Circuit Court in Staunton, VA.
