This is Volume 1 of Augusta County Circuit Court's Register of Birth's from the years 1871-1892. These records include a variety of information including the date of birth, name of the child, race and sex, whether the child was born alive or deceased, place of birth, the father's and mother's name in full, the father's occupation, father's residence, how many children were born, whether there was a deformity or any circumstance of interest, name of the person giving the information, and finally relation of the informant to person whether of kindred and its degree, head of family, friend, neighbor, or midwife.
